Energy

Energy is and will continue to be one of the most challenging issues of our generation, both politically and financially. For your businesses, this means thinking innovatively about how to use energy efficiently and achieve sustainable savings.

Reducing and optimising energy consumption has always been an important part of our design strategy inspired by the fact that with the right support you could bring your energy costs down by up to a third.

In addition most of our products and systems are Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA) approved. For further information on the ECA scheme and the benefits to your business visit www.eca.gov.uk

Our Energy Offer

Controlling Energy

Condenser Pressure Optimisation

Condenser pressure optimisation can be the single biggest energy saving method by reducing the difference between the suction pressure and the discharge or condenser pressure.

The most effective way to do this is by reducing the condenser pressure as far as the design will allow. The governing factor is the temperature of the ambient air used as the cooling medium which will be lower at night and in the winter months.

By tracking the ambient temperature and using the condenser design specification the Tektroniks System can optimise the condenser control, so when conditions allow, reduce the condenser pressure. The use of Electronic Expansion Valves allows this facility to be used to full affect.

Electronic Expansion Valves

Independent test have shown significant savings in electrical energy consumed by the refrigeration plant by implementing the use of the Electronic Expansion Valve control.

Tektroniks unique EEV control strategy is designed to help create a stable return suction pressure which has a significant affect on improving plant operation and reducing energy consumption.

Lighting Control

Multi-function schedulers allow you to closely control the operation of your store lighting. Lights left on in unoccupied areas of your premises during or outside your operating hours user large amounts of unnecessary energy.

Trim heater Control

Using the lighting strategy we can also optimise the trim heaters so that their operation is reduced outside of store hours and so reduce energy.

Compressor Optimisation

Incorporates SALMA (Successive Approximation Loading Management algorithms). While closely monitoring the operation, the algorithms use proven techniques to optimise the running of the pack with the current load demand. These algorithms use pre-emptive techniques to reduce unnecessary run times while minimising compressor starts.
